After a calm 16 hour trip with the ferry to Cherbourg, we arrived safe and sound.
I learned now that Bronwyn needs her food very regularly otherwise she gets out of her good mood and wants to kill something to eat. I respect that and make several stops to feed it. We do have a lot of fun altogether.
It surprises me that the “kids” in the back of the car behave so well. No nagging, no fighting.
We arrived at our accommodation in Le Mans at around 5 o'clock and the outside was not really promising. After we could enter the front door, we walked straight up to a parked car and it looked like an old storage.
The stairs up to our apartment were not really appealing either. The wallpaper was sadly hanging from the walls in strokes and was probably put there just after Marie Antoinette was killed at the Bastille in 17 something.
After entering our living quarters a whole new world opened up. Very well maintained and appointed. Everything was there, clean and convenient.
Our next problem was food and how to get it.
Plenty restaurants, but all closed due to Sunday. After walking for at least half an hour, we found a nice cosy Italian restaurant,........... right across our accommodation.
It was about time, because Bronwyn started to lurk at pedestrians whether they were carrying food.
The next morning I was up early to get them all fresh French Baguette from the bakery. The only thing is that if you want some Jam on it, you have to wait till 10:00 am till the shops are open. (Bakeries open at 6:00 am)
Some butter on it and dip it in your coffee will also do the trick.
We arrived early at our next stop in Combronde, close to Clermont-Ferrand.
A beautiful Manor with a lot of antiques mixed with modern convenient beds and bathroom.
The lady of the house is kind enough to find us a restaurant to have dinner, because everything is closed, because this time it is Monday. I am wondering with what excuse they will come up tomorrow. Weird mob those Frenchies.
We are going to keep you all updated.

Weer met een Grote Glimlach het verslag gelezen.
Stop stiekem een paar Pakken Stroopwafels en Vacuüm verpakte Forellen als Nood Radsoen in de koffer.
Wacht met Water in mijn Mond op meer Smakelijke en Gezellige verslagen.

Wat leuk om weer wat van jou te lezen John, fijn dat jullie het gezellig hebben. En wat extra eten in je tas is zo'n gek idee nog niet, stel je voor dat ze jouw arm voor een worstenbroodje aan ziet. :-)
