The last couple of months we have been planning and booking planes,trains, ferries, hotels and looking forward to all we will see and do, and now i just want to say stop, it is going all so quick. The last couple of days we have made a sheepskin rug at the farm where we used to live, an intensive workshop which we all enjoyed making, then we showed Bron and Barry our weekly market in Sliedrecht, and from there a drive to Dordrecht, where we had croquetten for lunch and visited with friends and a walk around the town.
On Thursday we had the evening ferry to England, a very calm sea and the next morning we enjoyed a delicious English breakfast in Colchester and then drove on into London, over the Tower Bridge to Clapham. Not so calm as the traffic was horrendous. But we made it safely. We met Barry's daughter Sally and husband James, a very delightful couple and had a typical English pubmeal with them. Next day John and I saw 'The Phantom of the Opera' while Barry and Bron enjoyed some quality time with Sally and James. Very impressed as John behaved himself.
Later on we met for drinks and of course another meal. A lot of hmmmmmming going on with
all the nice food we are enjoying.
On Sunday another day of London, a bit more relaxed but still eating and hmmmming.
Monday morning a couple of hours drive to Wales, here we explored Bron's ancestors, visited
the cementary at Tonyrefail, and a visit to the mines which was a very interesting tour, amazing
how the people got through those hard times, and in the afternoon we experienced the bitter cold as it started to snow. On the way back a trip to our local pub for another delicious meal and now
getting ready for our trip tomorrow to Ireland, here we shall explore Barry's ancestors.
